On Friday 13th 2019, I had the wonderful opportunity to play for a NARPO celebration event (National Association of Retired Police Officers) to celebrate 100 years of the running of NARPO.
I provided background music whilst they were eating their evening meal in the newly refurbished Carriage House Restaurant and it was a real honour to do so.
It also gave me a great opportunity to get to grips with my electric Camac lever harp as I played to over 130 people as they dined,
It was a truly wonderful opportunity and it was also a total pleasure to meet Peter Goodman, the Chief Constable of Derbyshire.
What a better way to celebrate 100 years than to do so in the gem that is Chatsworth House. The most picturesque house in the UK.
I truly enjoyed performing there, and another bonus was that we had the ground all to ourselves once I had finished performing. Even leaving the venue with a full harvest moon and deer alongside our path was just magical.
